Our History

A Legacy Built on Speed and Determination

Burtin Racing was established by Claudio Burtin, whose lifelong love for racing began in his childhood, inspired by legends like five-time F1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio. From its inception, the team has been a force in North American road racing, competing in various formats, including endurance racing with the Porsche 997 GT3 and most notably in the iconic Trans Am Series muscle car series. The team relocated to a state-of-the-art 70,000-square-foot facility in Adairsville, GA, in 2021, marking a significant milestone in its growth.

Over the years, Burtin Racing has evolved into a top contender in the Trans Am Series, known for its high-performance Chevrolet Camaros, Corvette C7.Rs, and Porsche GT cars. The team’s modern debut in the Trans Am Series in 2014 saw Claudio Burtin himself pilot the No. 7 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R to a fourth-place finish at Daytona International Speedway, setting the tone for the team’s competitive spirit.

Since then, Burtin Racing has consistently delivered podium finishes, race wins, and memorable performances across iconic tracks like Road Atlanta, Sebring International Raceway, and Watkins Glen. With a commitment to excellence, Burtin Racing has worked with world-class drivers, including Adam Andretti, Martin “Raggi” Ragginger, Tomy Drissi, and rising star Thomas Annunziata. The team’s ability to adapt, innovate, and compete at the highest level has solidified its reputation as a powerhouse in American motorsport.

Racing into 2025

2024 saw Adam Andretti pilot the No. 17 Burtin Racing Top Liner / Castrol / GoShare Chevrolet Camaro to a win in the prestigious TA Class race at Burtin’s local track, Road Atlanta while 2025 has seen Adam fill the runners-up spot in four out of the first five races.

Claudio’s TOP LINER™ truck bed liner company is also teaming up with Spire Motorsports to partner with rising star Thomas Annunziata in the No. 07 TOP LINER™ Chevrolet Silverado for the LIUNA 150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park on June 28, 2025. This landmark event marks the first time a modern NASCAR series will race at the iconic Connecticut road course.
